The DignityHouston Web site is a growing work-in-progress designed to provide an online, interactive experience for Houston-area GLBT Catholics and their friends. We invite you to participate in this community sharing your experiences and views with us. The best way to participate is to become a registered user on the site, but even unregistered guests have the opportunity to participate.

In order to make this site the best possible experience for everyone, there are some important things to remember:

• This is a moderated site. That means that any comments or other postings that you make will not show up immediately. Instead, a member of DignityHouston must review your posting to ensure that it meets the requirements of the organization before it is published to the site.
• Flaming, personal attacks, and offensive and/or prejudicial materials will not be tolerated. You are probably aware of the potential for those kinds of postings on a site such as this, and that is why we review all postings before making them public. Persons who repeatedly post such material to this site may be blocked from any future postings. 
• When you post, your subject/title is critically important. Please use a succint and descriptive subject/title, something that will grab the reader's attention. Subjects like "I've Got a Question" don't tell us much about what you want to say. As an example, "Joining Ceremonies for Older Gay Couples" is much more informative.
• Please keep you postings direct and to the point. We do reserve the right to edit unduly repetitive or verbose content, but it's much better if we don't have to make changes to your words. We do not edit for grammar and spelling.

What Can I Post?

In an effort to make our Web site available to as many people as possible, we do allow unregistered guests certain posting rights on the site. Registered users have even more rights. We encourage everyone to register on this site. Here's a summary of who can post:

• Unregistered guests and registered users can post only site feedback.
• Only registered users can post new forum articles.
• Only certain users, designated by the Board of Directors, can post new blog entries and events on our Calendar. If you would like to post a blog article or event on our Calendar, please contact us at info@dignityhouston.org.
