The By Laws, §8.02 identifies the duties of the President as:

The President shall be the Chief Executive Officer of the Corporation, shall preside at all meetings, shall have general and active management of the affairs of the Corporation, shall see that all orders and resolutions of the Board of Trustees are carried into effect, and shall perform any other duties and have other authority as the Board of Trustees may prescribe.

The By Laws, §8.03 identifies the duties of the Vice-President as:

The Vice-President shall, in the absence or disability of the President, perform the duties of the President and have the authority of and exercise the powers of the President, and shall perform any other duties as the Board of Trustees may prescribe or as the President may delegate.

The position of Vice-President is currently vacant.

The By Laws, §8.04 identifies the duties of the Secretary as:

The Secretary shall attend all meetings of the Board of Trustees and all meetings of the members and record the minutes of all proceedings, shall give notice of all meetings of the members and special meetings of the Board of Trustees, shall keep in safe custody the seal of the corporation and, when authorized, shall affix the seal to any instrument requiring it. The Secretary shall be under the supervision of the President and shall perform any other duties as the Board of Trustees may prescribe or as the President may delegate.

Brief (one paragraph) bio

The By Laws, §8.05 identifies the duties of the Treasurer as:

The treasurer shall have the custody of the corporate funds and securities, shall keep full and accurate accounts of receipts and disbursements of the Corporation, and shall deposit all monies and other valuables in the name and the credit of the Corporation in the depositories as may be chosen by the Board of Trustees. The Treasurer shall disburse the funds of the Corporation as may be ordered by the Board of Trustees, taking proper vouchers for the disbursements, and shall render to the president and Trustees, at the regular meetings of the Board, or whenever they may require it, an accounting of all the transactions of the treasurer and of the financial condition of the Corporation. In case of his or her resignation, retirement or removal from office, the treasurer shall deliver all books, papers, vouchers, money and other property of whatever kind in his or her possession or under his or her control belonging to the Corporation. The treasurer shall perform any other duties as the Board of Trustees may prescribe or as the president may delegate. In the event of death of the treasurer, the President shall have all rights, duties, and privileges of the treasurer until another treasurer is appointed.

The current Treasurer is Larry L.

Larry L. holds an M.Ed. and an M.S.W. He is retired after about 30 years in the field of child and adult protective services, including more than 20 years at the management level, of which about 10 years was related to policy development and training of protective services staff. During his formative years, he attended a Jesuit seminary. Larry was a member of Dignity Houston in the ‘80s when he lived in Houston and rejoined when he returned to Houston in 2006. He has been a member of the Board of Trustees for over four years and the Treasurer for two years.
